Reception
Michael loved meeting people, telling stories and laughing heartily.
Join family, friends, teammates, fellow hobbyists and colleagues from various chapters of his life to exchange memories about Michael’s many adventures.
Around 2:30 pm, a few of Michael’s loved ones will share reflections about his impact and legacy.
Suggested Attire
Michael always took pride in looking neat and tidy. While his university friends often wore ratty T-shirts and ripped jean shorts, Michael walked around campus in button-down shirts and khaki pants.
We invite you to wear “smart casual” attire.
Please feel free to choose something in Michael’s favourite colour…plaid.

Event Details
Curling and Conversations
Michael remained active in team sports throughout his entire life. A childhood of playing hockey was followed by twenty-five years of volleyball, ultimate frisbee and curling.
A selfless contributor to countless communities, Michael served on the board of the Oshawa Curling Club — the home of many fond memories for him and Kristy.
After the celebration of life reception, people are welcome to remain at the venue for continued conversations and casual games of curling.
